The Designer Named Lindsey

To give you a picture of this art nerd, I drew before I could write.

Growing up, I contributed to any medium of art in every shape and form such as drawing various breeds of doggos or making little Play-Doh creatures. From then on, I knew that I wanted to pursue an art career.

Funny little fact: When I first got to Mississippi State, I initially wanted to do furniture-making or something hands-on with art. I even swore up and down that I would never go into graphic design in a million years. But then in my Sophomore year, I took my first computing arts class and instantly fell in love.

Although there were some challenging obstacles, I learned so much about the open world of design, whether it is website design, packaging design, UI/UX design, and especially illustration. Illustration would have to be my strongest skill set. I practice many different types from traditional watercolor to drawing digitally with Procreate on my iPad.

To add in some personal life details, I was born in Flowood, MS but was raised in the small town of Starkville. Besides art, I absolutely love listening to music, writing short stories, and exercising. Iā€™m also obsessed with iced mocha coffee, everything that is retro and vintage, shopping, and TV shows like Friends and The Golden Girls.
