Photography Work
A skill that I believe is important to have as a graphic designer is knowing how to take great shots of important projects. Above are images that I have taken to practice the art of lighting, composition, and balance to make a powerful story behind the photography.
This was an assignment is to find a deeper meaning in my everyday life. I wanted to show how artistic fitness can be as it is one of my true passions.
I used one of the local gymnasiums to achieve eye-catching photos. To have more of a realistic vibe to the photos, I used items that were already set up in a way.

Colors in Fitness
This assignment had a bit more similar instructions to the fitness photos, but it focuses on the meaning behind the everyday surroundings around the photographer.
I used photos made from my walk around my college’s campus and took still-life shots of naturally placed items using certain angles and close-ups to show the texture and depth behind the objects.

Story Behind the Original
One of the most challenging photo assignments as it was not only taking photos of different lighting sources but I was limited to what photos I could take due to the pandemic. But although the obstacles, this was a very fulfilling project.
For each photo, there had to be a different light to the photo. The three light sources include: direct lighting, indirect lighting, and diffused lighting.

This is by far my favorite photo project out of all. And the stars of this project are my precious dog, Bandit, and a cute little family friend’s puppy, Gus.
Now, the point of this project is to tell a simple story with photos, but I wanted to incorporate a twist on it using illustration.
Again, I’m a huge fan of natural poses, so I just let the dogs play and have a fun time while I’m behind the scene taking photos.
And I made a fun illustration based on what these doggos gave me.
